The spotlight has been on a Texas town recently after a mother complained that her daughter was paddled by a male vice principal. The mother's complaint isn't necessarily that her daughter opted for and received swats, but that it was done by a male and not a female.

The larger question for many though is should schools allow corporal punishment? Many in our region have banned it and most schools now require parents to give permission for it's use. What do you think? Should schools have corporal punishment as an option? Let us know in today's Poll of the Day.
