Lubbock police have increased patrol presence in an area of Lubbock after shots were fired early Wednesday morning.

Officers were on scene handling a loud music call at the Cactus Courtyard, located at 1801 Buddy Holly Avenue, and two shots were fired by an unknown suspect in the direction of the venue. The incident occurred at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday.

Police believe that the suspect fired the shots from the east alley of 1700 Buddy Holly Avenue, and then fled the scene. The suspect has not yet been located.

One person received minor injuries from debris of an audio equipment box that was struck by a bullet, and the victim declined treatment.

The suspect is listed as a black male, around 5’8” to 5’9” tall, and weighing around 180 pounds.
