Shootings Continue at Garden Apartments

For the second time in the past week, a Lubbock apartment complex has been the site of an attempted shooting. A drive by shooting at around 1pm had residents running for cover at the Garden Apartments. A small child narrowly avoided injury according to KAMC 28 News, however no one was reported injured.
The complex in the 1300 block of 65th street was the site of a shooting March 8th, which sent 26-year-old Michael Hawkins to the hospital. Authorities are finding it difficult to catch the shooters because many residents are afraid they will become victims of retaliation.
