A Shallowater man is dead after a rollover on Sunday evening.

Sixty-six year-old Jack Derwin Clemmer was driving east on County Road 5200 in a 2012 Nissan just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Clemmer failed to stop at a stop sign at Farm-to-Market Road 179 and hit an embankment, according to Texas DPS.

The Nissan went airborne and rolled in a field. Clemmer was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
