Shallowater ISD Locks-Down After Potential Bomb at First State Bank

Shallowater schools are back to normal after briefly going on lock-down this morning after a bomb was reported at the First State Bank in Shallowater. Tim Chambers with Shallowater ISD talked with KFYO about the lock-down:
“This morning at approximately 8 am a suspicious package was found at First State Bank in Shallowater. Lubbock county sheriff’s office and Shallowater police and fire department responded. The school campuses were placed on lock-down to ensure the safety of our students, faculty and staff. At approximately 10:30am the campuses returned to normal operations and procedures.”
The Lubbock Bomb Squad was called in to the bank, and removed a bag which turned out to be just a plastic bag that blew in from a nearby cotton field.
