Spring thunderstorms started to break out across the South Plains at the end of Memorial Day afternoon. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued until 11p for the eastern and southern counties of the South Plains, including Crosby, Garza and Lynn counties.

Golf ball and baseball size hail were reported in the northeastern South Plains in Hall and Childress counties, along with thunderstorms in Motley County.  Just after 6:30p, golf ball size hail was reported in Post.

As of 6:40, the dryline is continuing to back over Lubbock. That may prompt more thunderstorms around Lubbock County later on this evening.

As always, as the severe weather breaks out, we'll continue to have updates from Ron Roberts on KFYO.
