Several roads in the area will close overnight Sunday for more work on the Marsha Sharp Freeway.

TxDOT says that the closures are necessary to allow crews to place pre-cast concrete deck panels for the new Spur 327 overpass at Milwaukee Avenue.

Spur 327 will be closed to westbound traffic, and motorists will be directed onto the Spur frontage road. Westbound Spur traffic will not be able to access southbound Milwaukee Avenue during the closure. Eastbound spur traffic at Milwaukee will be limited to a thru-lane and a right-turn lane. No left turns onto northbound Milwaukee will be allowed.

Northbound Milwaukee Avenue traffic will be detoured onto the Marsha Sharp Freeway to Upland Avenue, south to 82nd Street, and back west on Spur 327 to reconnect with Milwaukee. Southbound Milwaukee traffic will still have access to connect with eastbound MSF traffic through a detour.

Westbound MSF traffic will be limited to two thru-lanes at Milwaukee, but no left turns to southbound Milwaukee will be allowed. Eastbound MSF will have access to northbound Milwaukee but traffic will not be able to access southbound Milwaukee.

The closures will begin on Sunday, January 19th at 6 p.m. and all lanes are expected to reopen to traffic by 6:30 a.m. Monday, January 20th.
