Senator Ted Cruz took to the Senate floor Monday evening taking aim at Republican leadership, donors, and other elected officials who say one thing when running for office but do the opposite in Washington.

Cruz took to the floor after being denied a "sufficient second" that would have allowed a roll call vote. This was another attempt by Cruz to fight the government funding of Planned Parenthood. Cruz spoke for an hour before his time ran out. According to POLITICO, Cruz requested more time to speak but was shot down. Cruz yielded the floor but not before he was able to take one more shot at Republican leadership.

“The Democrats are objecting to my speaking further. And both the Democrats and Republican leadership are objecting to the American people speaking further. I yield the floor,”
