Senator John Cornyn Talks Hurricane Harvey Relief And NAFTA [INTERVIEW]

Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) joined the show to talk about about current events and news in the nation.

Cornyn and Hasty discussed the Hurricane Harvey relief, the ongoing renegotiation of NAFTA, tax reform, and new gun legislation with the intent of reinforcing thorough background checks for firearms purchases.

While responding to Hasty's question about the differences between the House version of tax reform legislation, and the Senate's version, Cornyn said,

In the Senate bill, for example, we have repealed the individual Obamacare mandate which will save, according to the Congressional Budget Office more than three hundred billion dollars.
