On Thursday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Senator John Cornyn spoke with Chad and Rex about the business climate in Texas and his upcoming visit to Lubbock.

Senator Cornyn will be visiting the Texas Tech School of Business on Saturday, October 1st, to visit with students and faculty members about entrepreneurial training. He said that the economy depends on entrepreneurs to start new business and create jobs, and that he's looking forward to seeing what he can learn from the students and faculty.

He also talked about the business climate here in Texas, saying that our climate is so different because we ask the question, "How can we make it easier for people to create jobs?"  while it seems that other places try to make it harder to create jobs.

Senator Cornyn also spoke about Obamacare and the GOP candidates. He said that the candidate's position on creating new jobs may be the key to getting votes in the 2012 election.
