A second case of tuberculosis has been reported in the Lubbock area, this one at the Convergys call center.

KAMC-28 said employees at Convergys were alarmed yesterday that someone reportedly has been quarantined because of the highly contagious disease. One worked said higher-ups had no notified her about the reported case. But, word was going around that state health department officials would be arriving to give people free tuberculosis shots.

Last week, a suspected case at South Plains College in Levelland prompted a state notification that some people who might have been exposed should be tested for TB.
