Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, GOP strategist Matt Mackowiak joined the show to discuss current topics in state and national news.

Mackowiak and Hasty talked about possible education legislation that will likely be debated during the 85th Texas Legislature, and how many different sides there are in the debate over school choice and vouchers, with concerns from the rural, urban, private and charter schools all being in the mix.

Speaking about the inner-city schools in places such as Dallas or Houston, Mackowiak said,

It's the urban areas in the poor parts of those cities where the educations systems are totally inadequate.

Also discussed was the Donald Trump's transition process into the presidency, and the possibility that Rick Perry may be the next Secretary of Energy.
