Melissa Collier is running for re-election to one of the at-large positions on the school board.  On Lubbock’s First News on KFYO, she was asked about the possibility of more cuts.

“I hope that we won’t experience further cuts,” Collier said.  “We’ve just got to be able to do with what we have now.  I think it’s just something we constantly have to look at.  We have to constantly evaluate and look at where those dollars are being spent.”

Collier said that over the past several years,

the board has cut just about as much as it can.
