Saturday Morning Fire in East Lubbock Leaves 1 Dead

A fire in East Lubbock kills 1 person early Saturday morning in East Lubbock.

The Lubbock Fire Department responded to a call at 12:37 a.m. in the 2300 block of Fir Avenue in East Lubbock at the Starlight Apartments.

Robert Loveless of the Lubbock Fire Department informed KFYO News that a deceased male was found in Apartment 7 in the complex. No positive identification on the man has been found as of 2:45 p.m. on Saturday and is currently under investigation.

An autopsy on the deceased male will be conducted on Monday to determine cause of death.
