This time, the USDA has announced a serious recall involving a favorite frozen dinner.

Banquet Chicken Nuggets with Mac & Cheese has been recalled due to a possible salmonella contamination.

From the USDA:

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is alerting consumers that the brownie mix dessert included in the breaded chicken nugget meal trays produced by Conagra Brands, Inc., a Marshall, Mo. establishment, may be contaminated with Salmonella. FSIS is issuing this alert, which affects 110,817 pounds of frozen meals, out of an abundance of caution after the company notified FSIS that the source material used in the brownie mix may be contaminated with Salmonella.

The following product is affected:

  • 4 oz. vacuum-packed trays containing “BANQUET Chicken Nuggets with Mac & Cheese” with Code 3100080921 and a “BEST IF USED BY” date of July 20, 2018.

These meals were sold at Walmart and other grocers in Lubbock and across the nation.

If you have one of these meals, return for a full refund. It should go without saying, DO NOT EAT IT!
