Runoff for District 4 Lubbock City Council Saturday

A runoff election for the District 4 Lubbock City Council seat will take place Saturday.

Lubbock City Councilman Paul R. Beane is facing off against challenger Jim Gerlt.

You can vote from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at vote center locations across the area.

In the May 12th election, Beane received 45.07 percent of the vote, Gerlt received 41.6 percent of the vote, and a third candidate, Dwight Fullingim took 13.32 percent of the vote.

Beane has served as the councilman for District 4 since June 2008.
