Ron Paul on Markets vs. Government, the Importance of Freedom [INTERVIEW]

Dr. Ron Paul called into The Chad Hasty Show to talk about the decline of freedom and constitutional government in the United States, as well as his upcoming presentation at Texas Tech University's Free Market Institute.

Paul and Hasty discussed what the program will contain, as well as current events and Paul's thoughts on the current presidential race.

When asked about why he believes there is such a groundswell among young voters for Democratic candidate and self-described socialist Bernie Sanders, Paul replied:

I think it's because they haven't yet looked at the particulars, the real specifics of what a free society is like and how it differs from a socialist society. But there's something attractive about Sanders, and you touched on it, and that is he's up front. He tells the truth, he believes in something, he's not going to flip-flop.

The free event will take place in the Allen Theatre of the Student Union Building at Texas Tech University from 5:30 – 7 p.m.. Parking is also free in the band lot, beginning at 5 p.m
