‘Rockin’ the Wall’ – How Rock and Roll Helped Bring Down the Iron Curtain [INTERVIEW]

Monday on The Chad Hasty Show Dr. Ben Powell from the Texas Tech Free Market Institute and Professor Larry Schweikart, producer of a documentary called Rockin' the Wall joined Chad in the KFYO studio to talk about their presentation coming tonight, November 09, 2015.

Rockin' the Wall is the story about rock and roll's part in helping to usher in change to the Soviet Union, and bring down the Berlin Wall.

While talking about the production Professor Schweikart said: "Rock music is distinctly American, and it has a structure that almost no other music in the world has."

Schweikart continued, "It's a perfect picture of America. I mean, we do things together but we never lose our individuality."

The Rockin' the Wall event begins at 5:30pm tonight and will continue through 7:00pm in the Grand Auditorium at Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration, on the Texas Tech University campus.

Following the viewing of the documentary, Prof. Schweikart will offer commentary and participate in a question and answer period with the audience.
