Roby Resident Abel Pete Flores Killed in Saturday Morning Wreck

A motorist is dead after wrecking his truck early Saturday morning.

Abel Pete Flores of Roby was killed after colliding with a utility pole.

The 24-year-old Flores was driving north on County Road 2800 when his 2007 Ford F-150 collided with the pole not far from Farm-to-Market 2641 at around 1 a.m. Saturday. The truck then rolled onto its roof.

According to Texas DPS, Flores was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.

DPS is still investigating what caused the wreck.
