Here are just a few things in Chad’s Pile that you will hear on Lubbock’s First News this morning. Give Chad your feedback on the steaming topics.

1. Race card (link)

In an interview on FOX News, Herman Cain said that he believes part of the motivation behind the sexual harassment case is because he is black. In my opinion, he should have listened to Condoleezza Rice. In an interview with CBS which you can watch above, Rice said that Cain shouldn't play the race card and that people who do play the race card end up hurting the country.

In a way, I agree with her. The sexual harassment story has nothing to do with Cain's race. Does anyone really think if Politico had the same story on Rick Perry or Mitt Romney they wouldn't run it? I still believe playing the race card is a person's last gasp. They can't argue, so they just play on race. The country is owed more than that.

2. BofA nixes debit card fee (link)

Bank of America has decided to nix the $5 debit card fee.

In a win for President Barack Obama and Occupy Wall Street, Bank of America will abandon its plans to charge customers $5 per month to use debit cards.

“We have listened to our customers very closely over the last few weeks and recognize their concern with our proposed debit usage fee,” said David Darnell, co-chief operating officer, in a statement Tuesday. “Our customers’ voices are most important to us. As a result, we are not currently charging the fee and will not be moving forward with any additional plans to do so.”

I don't know what Occupy Wall Street has to do with this, but I can understand how some would say that this is a win for the Democrats. Democrats have put pressure on BofA to halt this idea. However, remember that it was the DEMOCRATS that got Bank of America and other large banks into this mess.

3. Leftover candy? No problem (link)

Do you have a lot of leftover candy from Halloween? Here are some things you can do with all of it.

Thanksgiving Turkies Cookies

Here is another Thanksgiving Day option, and also super easy.  This recipe from BigOven.com calls for 12 mini peanut butter cups and 72 candy corn, ingredients sure to be on hand.  It is basically turkey-shaped sugar cookies, sure to please the little ones.
