A new performing arts center will be officially opened this week.

The ribbon cutting ceremony for the Frenship Performing Arts Center will be held Thursday, April 26th at 2 p.m.

The performing arts center is located on the southwest corner of the Frenship High School campus at the intersection of Donald Preston Drive and Farm-to-Market 179 in Wolfforth.

Immediately following the ceremony, an open house and guided tours will be given of the new 43,000-square foot facility, which includes a state-of-the-art theater, which seats an audience of 985. The theater includes three dance studios, dressing rooms, staging areas, a scene shop, and costume facilities.

The PAC was built using funds from the Frenship ISD 2007 bond election, and was completed in 19 months.

The public is invited to attend the event.
