A reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the man that robbed a local fast food store and attacked two of the employees with a baseball bat.

A male employee was reportedly taking out trash from the Dairy Queen at 69th Street and University Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, when a man attacked him with a baseball bat.

According to Lubbock Police, the assailant then went inside and demanded that a female employee give him money from the restaurant. She handed over the money, and the suspect then attacked her with the bat as well.

The two people were taken to University Medical Center. The woman was treated and released, and the man is still in critical condition.

Crime Line is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the prosecution of the suspect.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, standing 5’8” and weighing around 140 pounds.
