Reward Offered for Deaths of Lubbock ISD Ag Animals
Lubbock ISD Police and Lubbock Police continue to investigate the killing of more than two dozen farm animals in the Ag Barn located near O’Bannon Field last week.
The LISD Ag department, filled with students and faculty that have cared for the animals, has received an overwhelming amount of support from the community in the wake of this tragedy.
“There’s a lot of people been calling and saying ‘what can we do?’ They’re emailing me, texting me, calling me saying ‘what can we do to help?’ Every hour, I get two or three messages from people here in Lubbock, the whole state and even Northeastern Oklahoma,” said Roger Green, an Ag teacher at Monterey High School and the LISD Ag farm manager.
Green also told KAMC News that he’s never experienced anything like this during his 26 years teaching.
There is now a reward being offered for information that will lead to the arrest of the party or parties responsible for the killings. The reward is currently $600, but First Bank & Trust is also collecting money to add to the reward. Donations can be made to the “LISD Ag Farm Reward Fund” at First Bank and Trust.

Meanwhile, KAMC News reports than a group of goat breeders have reached out to Lubbock ISD to help replace some of the goats that were killed.
