Reservations for City Pools to Open Next Week

The time to get a City pool reserved for private functions is coming up next week.

The City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department will begin reserving pools for the 2012 season on Monday, May 7^th.

All four municipal pools are available for evening rentals for a number of different kinds of events.

The pools will open on Tuesday, May 29^th, and will close on Sunday, August 19^th.

Rental times for pools will be on Thursdays through Sundays from 7 to 9 p.m.

Reservation costs vary depending on the number of attendees.

• 1-50 people: $125
• 51-75 people: $150
• 76-100 people: $175
• 101-125 people: $200
• 125+ people: $225

The four City pools are Clapp Pool at 46^th Street and Avenue U, Mae Simmons Pool at 24^th Street and MLK Blvd., Maxey Pool, located at 4007 30^th Street, and Montelongo Pool at 3200 Bates Street.

Reservations can be made by calling Parks and Recreation at 775-2673, and payments should be brought to their office at 1611 10^th Street during normal business hours within one week of making the reservation.
