On Wednesday's edition of Lubbock’s First News, Representative John Frullo talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about the latest coming out of the Texas legislative session.

The House version of the abortion bill, HB 2, successfully passed through the House yesterday in the Texas legislature, by a vote of 98 to 49. The third version of the bill will be read today, after which it will be sent to the Senate.

Frullo said that, although several amendments were brought to the bill yesterday, none of them were added and the bill remains virtually the same as the Senate bill. To those who argue the constitutionality of the bill, Frullo argued that there was nothing in the bill that was not constitutional. He believes that it will eventually pass the Senate and make it to the governor's desk.
