Monday on Lubbock's First News hosted by Rob Snyder and Ken Corbin, Representative Randy Neugebauer joined the show to talk about a number of subjects.

First up in the conversation was the subject of votes on legislation for reauthorizing the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal 2016, as well as a pending vote on The USA Freedom Act (formerly called the Patriot Act). Responding to Snyder's question as to whether or not he favors renewing the USA Freedom Act, Neugebauer responded,

I'll lean to support that, and here's, here's the reason why, is that what we know is that ah, it's a very dangerous world out there, and that our intelligence, ah, is one of our most important, ah, ways we defend American against enemies that are out there today. For example ISIS. We know that ISIS is actually, you know, operating here in the United States of America in one form or fashion or the other.

Neugebauer also talked about the Jade Helm exercise that is currently a hot topic in the news.
