Rep. Randy Neugebauer was one of 35 members of the House Agriculture Committee to vote for the Federal Agriculture Reform and Risk Management  Act  -- FARRM Act for short.  In a news release after the committee vote, Neugebauer said:

“I’m grateful to Chairman Frank Lucas for his work to develop this legislation.  This is a complex bill, but I’m satisfied that we’ve come to an agreement that reduces our spending, improves program efficiency, and creates a strong safety net for America’s agricultural producers.”

The committee approved three amendments proposed by Neugebauer.  Neugebauer said one of the amendments will help reduce fraud in the SNAP program, formerly called food stamps.
