On the Thursday edition of Lubbock’s First News on KFYO, congressional candidate Chris Winn was asked about Rep. Randy Neugebauer and the 2008 financial meltdown.

Question: Do you think that Neugebauer’s actions helped to contribute to the financial meltdown?

Answer : I believe so.  Understand, every agency, SEC, FDIC, all of them are clearly under the auspices of and jurisdiction of the House  Financial Services Committee.

Neugebauer serves on that committee.

On Friday’s program, Neugebauer responded, referring to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Neugebauer said he was involved in reform efforts again in 2007.
