“Well, that’s a very good question.”

That was the answer from Congressman Randy Neugebauer on Lubbock’s First News on KFYO when asked about the status of the debt ceiling negotiations in Washington.

“I don’t know if anybody really knows.  Everybody seems to moving in their own direction.  The President keeps wanting to get a debt ceiling increase that gets him past the election because he seems to be more focused on his re-election than he is on working on these huge deficits that we have.”

Neugebauer said it appears the President is not serious about any spending cuts.
