Congress is working on a new farm bill, and the word from Washington is that ag subsidies could be cut by billions of dollars.  On Lubbock’s First News on KFYO, Rep. Randy Neugebauer had this reaction:

“Basically what it means is we are going to dealing with a little bit less money than we did in the previous farm bill.  So it’s going to be extremely important to make sure that with the remaining resources that we have, that we put together an ag deal that helps  makes sure that America’s agriculture community is thriving in the future.  So we’re going to have to sharpen our pencil.
