UPDATED: Regional School Delays and Closings

UPDATED: Texas Tech has delayed the start of classes for tomorrow (12/6) until 9:30 am

South Plains College has also delayed the start of classes until 9:30 am

Some area schools have decided Monday evening to delay class start times for Tuesday due to the inclement weather.

Lubbock ISD and Frenship ISD schools will be delayed 2 hours, and buses will run a regular route 2 hours later than normal.

Lubbock Cooper ISD will begin 2 hours late, and advise parents that cancelation is possible, and that decision will be made at 6 a.m. tomorrow morning.

All Saints Episcopal School and Trinity Christian School will delay classes 2 hours.

Schools delayed until 10 a.m. with buses running on pavement only:

  • Abernathy ISD
  • Brownfield ISD
  • Hale Center ISD
  • Littlefield ISD
  • Lockney ISD
  • Meadow ISD
  • New Home ISD
  • Olton ISD
  • Ralls ISD
  • Shallowater ISD
  • Slaton ISD

Amherst ISD classes will begin at 10 a.m. Buses will not run Tuesday morning.

Crosbyton ISD classes will begin at 10 a.m. Buses will not run in rural areas.

Idalou ISD classes are delayed until 10 a.m.

Morton ISD classes will begin at 9 a.m. No buses will run.

New Deal ISD classes are delayed 2 hours, and buses will run on pavement only.

Smyer ISD will begin at 10 a.m. Buses will run regular routes 2 hours late.

Whiteface classes will begin at 9:30 a.m. and buses will run normal routes.

Whitharral ISD will begin at 10 a.m. No buses will Tuesday morning.
