The Historic Redeemer Lutheran Church in the Heart of Lubbock Neighborhood will host Octoberfest on October 5 from 10a-2p.  The event will feature Klemke sausages (regular or jalapeno), potato salad, green beans, sauerkraut, rolls, pickles and German chocolate cake. Carry out will be available during the event.

Tickets are $8.75 for adults and $4.50 for children 10 and under. There will also be a raffle, craft sale, bake sale and sausage sale. Redeemer Lutheran is located at 2221 Avenue W in downtown Lubbock.

Tickets are available at the door, or in advance, by calling call Joyce Outka at (806) 773-6141.

Proceeds from Octoberfest benefit the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML). Some of the causes championed by LWML worldwide include tangible care to orphans in Haiti and outreach to at-risk children in Detroit. LWML outreach includes rescuing children in Malaysia from so-called “baby dumping.” LWML also provides food to impoverished people living in Vietnam and the U.S. Mexico border.
