A Texas Tech volleyball player has received conference honors.

Senior Amanda Dowdy has been named to the All-Big 12 Team as part of the conference postseason awards. This is the second season in a row Dowdy was chosen to the first team, making her the first Red Raider volleyball player to be named to the first team twice.

Dowdy finished her career with the Texas Tech women’s volleyball team matching the team record with 454 kills, as well as 50 blocks and 350 digs on the back row. She finished ranked 4th in the conference, averaging 4.12 kills per set average.

Red Raider Head Coach Don Flora discussed the Lexington, Texas native, saying “This is an honor that is well earned for Amanda.”
