The average price for regular self-serve gas in Lubbock this week is $3.76 a gallon, according to KFYO's weekly gas survey.    That’s a dime higher than last week, and it’s the highest average price since KFYO began its gas price survey.

Overall, prices for regular self-serve gas in Lubbock in the current survey range from $3.62 to $3.79 a gallon.

According to a AAA Texas survey, the average price in Texas is $3.80 a gallon, up 5 cents from last week.

The cheapest gas among the 11 Texas cities surveyed by AAA is in El Paso,  $3.73 a gallon.

The most expensive is in Dallas, $3.86 a gallon.

Nationally, the average price is $3.91 a gallon, up 8 cents.
