Randy Neugebauer urges Congress to Pass Disaster Assistance for Farmers and Ranchers Affected by Drought [VIDEO]

Lubbock’s Congressman addressed the House of Representatives today to urge the members to action.

Representative Randy Neugebauer went to the House floor to support H.R. 6233: Supplemental Agricultural Disaster Assistance.

The bill provides relief for farmers and ranchers struggling with drought, and helps keep food prices down.

A 5-year farm bill was passed by Committee, but hasn't yet been brought to the full House for consideration.

Today’s bill extended disaster assistance programs. Earlier, KFYO reported that the bill was passed out of the Ag committee, but that was not the case. KFYO apologizes for the error in reporting.
