Lubbock's First News resumed on Monday with Representative Randy Neugebauer joining the show from Capitol hill talking about current issues with Tom Collins and Laura Mac.

One of the topics discussed was revisions to the Endangered Species Act, changes in the status of the Lesser Prairie Chicken, and how the changes will affect producers.

Also in the discussion was the weekend killing by U.S. Special Forces of a key ISIS commander who was in charge of oil and gas for the group, as well as President Obama's ongoing trade negotiations.

About the changes to the Endangered Species Act, Neugebauer said,

We're doing two things here. One is making the government be more transparent about their side, and secondly, having a little bit more open dialog between the states and the federal government, before we start taking away people's property rights.
