Congressman Randy Neugebauer lent a spatula at the Lubbock Lions Club's annual Pancake Festival Saturday morning (Feb. 21), flipping pancakes for thousands of hungry Lubbockites.

This year's event at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center marks the Pancake Festival's 63rd anniversary. An all-day feast that serves up a neverending supply of pancakes, sausage, bacon and coffee to scores of people, the Lions Club Pancake Festival is one of the biggest pancake festivals in the country.

In 2009, the Lions Club set a world record that solidified that claim.

The Pancake Festival kicked off at 7 a.m. and wraps up tonight at 8 p.m.
