On Monday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Congressman Randy Neugebauer discussed progress made toward solidifying the farm bill.

He said in $8 billion in reform to the SNAP program is expected. He hopes there will be a vote on the bill on Wednesday. "it just doesn't make sense to keep stringing farmers and ranchers out with these extensions." He noted that the bill would improve crop insurance.

The Congressman also discussed HR 7, the No Taxpayer for Abortion Act. The act ensures taxpayer money will not pay for abortions in any way.
