On Tuesday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Dr. Robert Tidwell from the Ranching Heritage Center talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about the center's upcoming exhibit.

The Ranching Heritage Center will be unveiling their new exhibit, "From Horse-Drawn to Horsepower," this month. Tidwell explained that the exhibit focuses on the transition for horse-drawn vehicles to motor vehicles, most notably the Model T, and how it affected rural America. In addition to numerous Model Ts cars, the exhibit will also feature freight wagons, chuckwagons and other horse-drawn vehicles, long with their motor vehicles replacements.

The exhibit's grand opening is Saturday, August 17th, and will remain open to the public into 2014. For more information on the Ranching Heritage Center, visit their website at nrhc.tuu.edu.
