Quiznos Opens New Location Staffed by Students from Texas Tech’s Burkhart Center for Autism Research and Education

A new Quiznos Sub Sandwich Restaurant will open inside of the Burkhart Center for Autism Research and Education at Texas Tech next week.

According to a press release from the center, the restaurant will be managed by Tech’s Hospitality Services, but will be staffed almost entirely by Burkhart Center students.

The press release said in part, “This location creates a unique partnership for the Texas Tech campus by establishing a learning lab as a real world working environment for individuals with autism.”

The Quiznos will function like other campus dining locations, accepting both cash and dining plans.

The Burkhart Center is located on the Texas Tech campus at 18th Street and Detroit Avenue.
