Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office

Late Tuesday afternoon, the Lubbock Police Department announced that an undercover prostitution sting operation netted the arrest of an individual. The operation conducted by LPD has occurred over the past several days. The sting was launched when LPD received a tip that someone was impersonating a police office “for the purposes of prostitution”.

The man arrested is a retired Lubbock Police Officer. 58 year-old John Cason (pictured) was arrested and charged with Class B Misdemeanor prostitution. He was booked into the Lubbock County Jail and bonded out.

LPD’s investigation is currently ongoing.
