Preventing Alzheimer’s Disease : Healthy Heart, Healthy Brain?

Rex Andrew, kfyo.com

According to Shannon Ramos of the Alzheimer’s Association, there seems to be a connection between certain health problems and Alzheimer’s disease.

“Alzheimer’s is more prevalent in people who have heart disease.  It’s more prevalent in people who are overweight, who don’t have a healthy heart.  So the only thing we can endorse right now for prevention of Alzheimer’s is what is good for your heart is good for your brain.”

You can hear the entire interview with Shannon Ramos on This Week in Lubbock  on KFYO next Sunday at 6 .a.m.
