On Wednesday’s edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Hasty shared his thoughts and impressions from President Donald Trump’s address to the joint session of Congress last night (February 28, 2017), and the reaction to it by liberals and the Democrat Party.
Hasty reviewed the speech and berated the Democrats who refused to at least stand up and applaud, many times even when the President’s statements were unquestionably non-partisan and in the best interest of American citizens, law enforcement, military and national security.
Hasty railed, “You had some Democrats who refused to stand when President Trump honored a Navy Seal, a hero who gave his life for this country, and you had Democrats sitting down? One of them, by the way, Keith Ellison, who [recently] came in second to run the DNC and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz who used to lead the DNC, sat on their butts when Donald Trump honored an American hero.”
Summing up the Democrat’s reactions and attitude, Hasty said,
Most people in this country don’t want to be associated with people who sit down and refuse to stand for the American worker, who refuse to stand for police officers and law enforcement, who refuse to stand when it comes to honoring our heroes, and refuse to stand when it comes to protecting Americans against terrorism. That’s the modern Democrat Party! That’s why last night was so effective. It was great. It exposed the Democrats even further.
