On Wednesday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 candidates Ann-Marie Carruth and Gary Vaughn spoke with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about the results of last night's election.

Last night, Carruth won the JP election with 59.07% of the votes, while Vaughn received 40.93% of the votes. Carruth said that her next step will be to meet with the other Justices, and that she is looking forward to seeing what she can learn from her JP peers. She added that she plans on closing her private law firm in order to focus on the JP office. Vaughn congratulated Carruth on her victory, saying that he enjoyed running against her, and that there were really no losers in this race.
