A portion of a Southwest Lubbock street will be paved this week.

The southbound lanes on Frankford Avenue between 98th Street and 114th Street will begin Tuesday night, and last through early afternoon on Wednesday.

The section of Frankford Avenue is directly adjacent to a school, and the section is being paved at night to avoid disrupting school traffic.

Since this section of the street is not in a residential area, The City of Lubbock expects public disruption to be minimal.

The lanes will be part of a new 7-lane concrete thoroughfare.
