Portion of Frankford Avenue to be Paved Tuesday Night

A portion of a Southwest Lubbock street will be paved this week.

The southbound lanes on Frankford Avenue between 98^th Street and 114^th Street will begin Tuesday night, and last through early afternoon on Wednesday.

The section of Frankford Avenue is directly adjacent to a school, and the section is being paved at night to avoid disrupting school traffic.

Since this section of the street is not in a residential area, The City of Lubbock expects public disruption to be minimal.

The lanes will be part of a new 7-lane concrete thoroughfare.
