On the Monday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Political analyst and columnist for the Washington Times Matt Mackowiak joined the show to talk about the Beto/Cruz campaign, as well as Obama's return to the campaign trail.

With the Beto-Cruz campaign still taking place, and support for Beto O'Rourke growing, some are starting to think that Ted Cruz may not win this election. When asked what he thought of the situation, Mackowiak said,

"O'Rourke has raised so much money that you have to take him seriously even though, generally, you haven't had to take democrats seriously state wide...the 'likability' of Ted Cruz also plays into this."

He went on to say, "there are facts and advantages of Ted Cruz that I think have not fully been realized yet."
