Lubbock Police are searching for a man who attempted to sell a piece of sports memorabilia, which was likely taken during a burglary.

The suspect attempted to sell a unique San Diego Chargers autographed football helmet on October 27th, 2011. The man was taped by security cameras while trying to sell the helmet at Lone Star Sports Memorabilia in the 4800 block of 50th Street.

Police say that the helmet is believed to have been stolen during a residential burglary earlier in the day. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing around 250 pounds, and is between 30 and 40 years old.
