Police Search for Man Suspected of Residential Burglary

Lubbock Police are searching for a man who attempted to sell a piece of sports memorabilia, which was likely taken during a burglary.

The suspect attempted to sell a unique San Diego Chargers autographed football helmet on October 27^th, 2011. The man was taped by security cameras while trying to sell the helmet at Lone Star Sports Memorabilia in the 4800 block of 50^th Street.

Police say that the helmet is believed to have been stolen during a residential burglary earlier in the day. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing around 250 pounds, and is between 30 and 40 years old.
