The Lubbock police department is investigating the possible exploitation of an elderly woman in Lubbock. Authorities say three men who run a tree trimming service solicited their services to the woman, and used intimidation to get several thousand dollars from her. The victim says she was afraid to refuse paying what the men called a “loan” because of her age and frailty.

It is believed the men may have used similar tactics in Amarillo and Midland. The LPD warns residents to avoid the services of door to door solicitors unless they have a permit and photo ID. If you were a victim of similar exploitation, or have any information call the LPD front desk at 775-2816.
