Police Continue Search for Men that Stole Beer, Injured Grocery Store Employee

Lubbock Police are searching for two men who reportedly stole beer from a local grocery store late last month.

The duo stole two 30-packs of Budweiser beer from the United Supermarket at 50th Street and Avenue Q just after 9 p.m. on May 30th.

When employees attempted to stop the men in the parking lot, the suspects got into a blue Saturn. As they were fleeing the scene, they injured one of the United employees with their vehicle.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crimeline at 741-1000. You can also send tips to the Lubbock Police Department via text message, but sending information to 274637, and including the keyword “LBKTIPS” at the beginning of the message, followed by a space.
