A redevelopment effort will bring a third United Market Street location to Lubbock. The new location at 19th and Quaker will be the same size as the other Lubbock Market Streets and will have a fuel and convenience store as well.
The redevelopment project will be under the direction of Tao Development. Construction will begin once existing structures on the site are demolished. Currently two operational businesses stand on the property, a 7-11 and Racer Classic Car Wash, which will close by the end of the year. Redevelopment plans are also in place for the vacated Hollywood Video space across the street.
